Changing a student's Level, Section, or Word List Goal

Teachers can use the Change Level/Section/Goal feature in the Staff Member Module to set a student's first assignment in Word Warm-ups Live. They can also use the same feature from either the Staff Member Module or the Word Warm-ups Live student module to revise an existing assignment.

To set or change a student's Word Warm-ups Live assignment from the Staff Member Module:

1. Log in to the Staff Member Module.
2. From the navigation menu, select Student Activity.
3. Find the student whose assignment you need to change.
4. Expand the student's line on the list to reveal the Applications level.
5. To the right of the Word Warm-ups Live line's Assignment column, choose the Change Assignment  button.
6. Choose a new Level or Section assignment for the student.
7. If necessary, change the student's Word List Goal.
8. Click Save & Close.

To change a student's existing Word Warm-ups Live assignment from the Student Module:

1. Choose the Teacher Menu in the header.
2. Enter your User ID and Password.
3. Click Log in.
4. Click Change Level/Section/Goal.
5. Use the Level, Section, and Word List Goal controls to alter the student's assignment and goal as necessary.
6. Click Save.
7. If you are changing the current section while the student is already working on an exercise, a dialog asks when you want to apply the change. 
   Click Immediately to apply the changes now, resetting the student's current exercise.
   - or -
   Click Next Exercise to allow the student to finish the current exercise first, before the changes are applied.
8. If you choose to apply the changes immediately, a dialog opens to confirm the resetting of the current exercise. Click Yes to do so.

• The Change Level/Section/Goal page can also be used to turn individual exercises on and off. See Enabling and disabling individual exercises in a section.
